Car history: |
2) This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1 Coupe is a very rare and very nice 3rd generation Corvette that will make a great investment and fun car to own and drive. 1 of only 1949 produced in 1971. The chassis remained virtually unchanged in this, the third-generation model, but the body and interior for 3rd gen cars were completely new, based on the Mako Shark show car. But it wasn't called a Mako Shark as expected or a Sting Ray as in 1963 through 1967. Wheel width increased to seven inches. To tidy up the engine bay and improve weight distribution, the battery was moved to a compartment behind the seats. A light monitoring system used fiber optics to display exterior lamp function on the instrument panel. Optional automatic transmissions were 3-speed Hydro-matics, replacing Corvette's earlier 2-speed Powerglide units. Only 14680 coupes and 7121 Convertibles of the 1971 models were built only 1949 cars came with the LT-1 option 350hp/330hp were built, this is 1 of those cars. This car is very nice inside, out, and underneath. Basically everything on the car is very nice condition. All the chrome is very nice. The paint color is code 983 Brands Hatch Green with code 423 Dark Green standard interior, the color combo is stunning. The car has a high quality paint job on it and is straight down the sides. No rust issues with this car. The drive train is all original. I was told this was an original car and was certified with a service and I have a copy of the affirmation. It has 350ci/330hp and with the 4-speed manual transmission making it very drivable. Basically everything is very nice on this very collectable LT1 Corvette. Newer BFG's raised white letter and has been mounted on Factory style 15x8 Rally wheels. Like everything else, the interior is very nice. It has the very rare Dark Green interior. The car has its factory gauges, corvette aftermarket am/fm/cass radio in the dash. It also has a aftermarket air conditioning unit without cutting or changing the original dash. Dash pad, door panels, carpet, headliner, sun visors, steering wheel everything is in great condition. $32,100 (RnM) on September 25, 2016. 1) Butiful documented numbers matching 1971 Corvette LT1. Only 1949 of these cars were produced and very few still maintain their original drive train. The car also maintains its original 4 speed Muncie with VIN stamp on the transmission. Also has the original numbers matching holly carburetor. The car has new paint. Engine has been fully detailed with no leaks. All the brakes have been redone including rotors, calipers and pads. New steering box. Also, has a new oil pump, water pump and battery. Tires are almost new. Interior is in great shape with no tears in the seats and has new carpet. Dash is perfect. Frame is solid with no rust. Casting # 3970010. Casting Date H210. Assemble Date V0825CGZ. Vin Derivative C11S101844. Trim tag build date B08. This is a real documented full drive train numbers matching LT1 in great condition. Runs and drives incredible. Sold as is and PPI is welcomed and encouraged. 5,361 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is B08. Ended at $25,099 (RnM) on April 10, 2016. Ended at $24,500 (RnM) on May 29, 2016. |
